Refrigerator Repair

A refrigerator is an essential appliance in every home, keeping food fresh and safe. When it starts malfunctioning, it can cause significant disruption. Common issues include temperature inconsistencies, strange noises, and water leakage. Before calling for repair, it’s helpful to check the basic components. Ensure the thermostat is set correctly, the door seals are intact, and the condenser coils are clean. Clogged coils can prevent efficient cooling and lead to higher energy bills.

If your refrigerator isn’t cooling properly, it could be due to a broken compressor, a faulty thermostat, or a refrigerant leak. A professional repair technician can diagnose the issue and provide the right solution. In some cases, replacing parts like the evaporator fan, compressor, or defrost heater might be necessary. Regular maintenance, such as cleaning the coils, can extend the lifespan of your refrigerator and keep it running smoothly.

It’s important to hire an experienced technician for refrigerator repair to ensure that the job is done correctly. Attempting repairs without the proper knowledge or tools can worsen the issue or even cause injury. Timely intervention can save you money by preventing further damage and extending the life of your appliance.

Freezer Repair

Freezers are vital for long-term food storage, allowing you to preserve items for months at a time. When they malfunction, it can be a major inconvenience. The most common issues with freezers include inconsistent temperatures, frost buildup, and strange noises. If your freezer isn’t freezing properly, it may be a result of a faulty thermostat, broken compressor, or issues with the condenser coils.

Before calling for professional help, check for simple problems like a dirty condenser coil or improper door seal, both of which can prevent the freezer from cooling efficiently. Frost buildup, particularly in frost-free models, could be an indicator of a broken defrost heater or malfunctioning defrost thermostat. If the freezer is too cold or too warm, it’s important to diagnose whether the thermostat or compressor needs attention.

When seeking freezer repair, it’s crucial to work with a trained technician who can address the underlying issue accurately. Freezer repairs often require specialized knowledge, especially when it involves refrigerants or electrical components. A professional will also be able to check for leaks or potential damage to the cooling system, which can affect the appliance’s performance and energy efficiency.

Regular maintenance, such as defrosting your freezer every so often and ensuring that the door closes tightly, can help prevent many common issues. If your freezer is older, it may be worth evaluating whether repair or replacement is the best option for your needs.

Ice Maker Repair

Ice makers are convenient appliances that save you the trouble of constantly buying or making ice cubes manually. However, when they malfunction, it can cause a major inconvenience. One of the most common issues is the ice maker not producing ice at all. This could be due to a clogged water filter, low water pressure, or a malfunctioning water inlet valve.

Another frequent problem is the ice maker producing too much or too little ice. This could be caused by a faulty thermostat, which controls the temperature of the ice-making process. If your ice maker is making strange noises or freezing up, the issue may lie in the evaporator fan or a blocked defrost drain.

To troubleshoot minor issues, you can start by checking the water supply line and making sure it’s not kinked or frozen. Additionally, checking the temperature settings and ensuring the ice maker is on could resolve the problem in some cases. If these simple solutions don’t work, it’s time to call a professional technician who can diagnose the problem accurately.

Ice maker repair requires an understanding of the refrigeration system and the various components involved in ice production. A qualified technician can replace defective parts like the water inlet valve, ice maker motor, or thermostat, restoring the appliance to full functionality.

Oven Repair

Ovens are essential for cooking a variety of meals, but when they break down, it can be frustrating. Some common oven problems include uneven heating, failure to heat up, or malfunctioning oven lights. These issues can often be traced to faulty heating elements, a broken thermostat, or problems with the oven’s electronic control board.

If your oven is not heating, first check the power supply and make sure the circuit breaker hasn’t been tripped. Sometimes, the oven’s heating element can burn out, causing the appliance to stop working altogether. Replacing the heating element is often a quick fix, but it’s important to ensure you have the right parts for your specific model.

In cases of uneven heating, the oven’s temperature sensor or fan may need to be repaired or replaced. A malfunctioning thermostat is another potential culprit, as it can prevent the oven from reaching the correct temperature. Regular oven maintenance, such as cleaning the oven and checking the seals, can help prevent some common problems.

If your oven continues to experience issues despite basic troubleshooting, it’s advisable to call in a professional repair technician. Trying to repair complex components without proper knowledge can be risky. An expert can quickly pinpoint the issue, replace defective parts, and restore your oven to its original functionality.

Stove Repair

Stoves are a key element in your kitchen, so when something goes wrong, it can disrupt meal prep and your daily routine. Some of the most common stove problems include burners that won’t light, uneven cooking, or an electric stove that isn’t heating properly. For gas stoves, issues can stem from faulty igniters, gas flow problems, or clogged burners.

If your stove burners aren’t igniting, it could be because of a dirty igniter or a malfunctioning switch. Sometimes, simply cleaning the burners or the igniter can resolve the problem. For electric stoves, uneven cooking could be due to a faulty heating element, while gas stoves may suffer from issues like a gas valve malfunction or air in the gas lines.

Regular cleaning of your stove’s burners, drip pans, and other components can help prevent many issues, especially in gas stoves. It’s also important to check the burners and electric coils for signs of wear and tear over time. If problems persist or worsen, it’s essential to call a professional technician for stove repair. They can safely diagnose the issue, replace damaged components, and ensure that your stove is operating at its best.

Gas Stove Repair

Gas stoves are popular for their fast cooking times and precise temperature control, but they require regular maintenance and care. Common issues include burners that fail to light, uneven flame, or gas smells, which can indicate a dangerous leak. If your burners won’t ignite, the problem may lie with the spark igniter, the gas supply, or a clogged burner.

For uneven flames, the issue could be a dirty burner or a malfunctioning gas valve. Ensuring that the burner ports are clean and free of food debris can often resolve the problem. A gas stove that doesn’t heat evenly may also have a faulty thermocouple or ignition system, both of which are best addressed by a professional technician.

Gas stove repairs can be tricky and even dangerous, as working with gas lines requires specialized knowledge. If you notice any gas odor or suspect a leak, it’s crucial to turn off the gas supply immediately and call a technician. A professional can inspect the stove, check for leaks, and ensure everything is working properly and safely.

Routine cleaning and proper maintenance, like ensuring the burners are clean and the knobs are functioning correctly, can prevent many gas stove issues. When repairs are needed, it’s important to rely on an experienced technician who understands gas safety standards.

Dryer Repair

Dryers are essential for quickly drying clothes, but when they stop working, it can be frustrating. One of the most common problems with dryers is that they stop heating, which could be due to a faulty heating element, a blown thermal fuse, or a malfunctioning thermostat. If your dryer is not drying clothes effectively, it could be an issue with airflow, such as a clogged vent or lint buildup.

If your dryer is running but not producing heat, check the thermal fuse and the heating element first. Lint buildup can restrict airflow, causing the dryer to overheat and shut down. Cleaning the lint filter regularly and inspecting the vent hose for blockages can prevent many common issues. Additionally, a malfunctioning drum belt or motor can prevent the dryer from tumbling clothes, while electrical problems may cause the dryer to fail to turn on entirely.

Dryer repairs require specific knowledge, especially when it comes to diagnosing issues with the electrical components or heating systems. A qualified technician can identify and fix the problem quickly, replacing faulty parts like the heating element or thermostat and restoring your dryer to full functionality.

Washing Machine Repair

Washing machines are crucial for keeping clothes clean and fresh, but when they stop working properly, it can disrupt your entire routine. Common issues include leaking, excessive vibration, or a machine that won’t spin. If your washing machine is leaking, the problem may be a broken hose, faulty door seal, or a clogged drain pump. Leaks can also be caused by a damaged water valve or the incorrect detergent causing soap suds to overflow.

Excessive vibration may be due to an unbalanced load, but if it persists, it could indicate a worn-out suspension system or damaged shock absorbers. Washing machines that fail to spin properly often have issues with the motor, drive belt, or door latch. Regular maintenance, like cleaning the drum and checking hoses for wear, can prevent many of these issues from occurring.

For more complex problems, such as electrical issues or internal component malfunctions, it’s important to seek professional help. A technician can diagnose the problem, replace damaged parts, and ensure that your washing machine is running as it should.

Dishwasher Repair

Dishwashers make cleaning up after meals much easier, but when they malfunction, it can be a headache. The most common dishwasher problems include failure to start, improper draining, or dishes not coming out clean. A dishwasher that won’t start could be an issue with the door latch, a faulty door switch, or a broken electronic control board.

If your dishwasher isn’t draining properly, the drain hose might be clogged, or the pump may be malfunctioning. Clogged spray arms can prevent proper cleaning, while a dirty filter can cause the dishwasher to become inefficient. Regularly cleaning the filter and inspecting the spray arms for debris can help prevent issues.

When dishwashers fail to clean effectively, it may be due to issues with water temperature, the detergent dispenser, or the heating element. If troubleshooting simple problems doesn’t resolve the issue, it’s time to call in a professional. A repair technician can identify underlying problems, fix electrical components, and replace worn-out parts like seals, pumps, or heating elements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of payments do you take?

Cash, cheque, zelle, venmo, paypal, visa, mastercard, debit.

Does it cost anything to come out and tell me whats wrong?

Yes. We charge a diagnostic fee which is applied to the cost of the repair when you chose to go ahead with it.

How soon can you come?

We try to book same day but its not always possible. Try to call before noon if you think you might need same day service.

Can you give me a ballpark estimate over the phone?

Well, yes and no. We try to give you an idea based on what you’re telling us but ultimately we need to see the machine and usually home owners or renters aren’t sure of the problem so we can’t be sure of the solution (yet)

Is it worth fixing or should I just get a new one?

Most often the older machines last longer (they don’t make em like they used to) and if you want to see us more often then buy a new machine… joking not really but seriously though… sometimes if its something major we will suggest you buying a new one but more often than not fixing it is cheaper and the parts don’t need to serviced for a long time. (We’re not just saying that)

Do you sell new appliances?

We can in a lot of cases! Ask your tech!

Can I bring my appliance in?

No- we fixed major appliances in your home and don’t have space for everyone’s appliance. Plus how would you get it here? If its a small appliance we don’t fix those. Best to buy a new one or call the manufacturer.
